What the specifications mean
The smooth-drum reference does not include an optional leveling blade. A padfoot shell or other fitted equipment changes the envelope and compaction setup.
Drum width describes the contact coverage; overall dimensions describe machine access. Select the required compaction process from the material and project specification rather than treating weight alone as a result.

A brochure configuration is not an individual marketplace machine. Serial/PIN and build information are required for exact verification.
Used CS56B inspection priorities
- Inspect drum shell, scraper bars, isolators and vibration-system service history.
- Check articulation and steering joints, tires, hydraulic leakage and the condition of the operator restraint and protective structure.
- Arrange a controlled demonstration of travel and vibration functions under the applicable manufacturer procedure.
Configuration-aware inspection: these checks are triggered by machine category, installed configuration and technology package. Brochure-listed technology must be physically present, active, licensed and calibrated on the used machine.
Hours, condition and ownership cost
Hours are context, not a condition grade. Duty cycle, idle time, maintenance evidence, wear-system measurements, structural repairs and installed technology should be evaluated together.
Cost drivers to model
- Budget drum and vibration-system repairs independently of engine service.
- Account for passes, material conditioning and site movement when estimating useful production; nominal width is not hourly compacted output.
Configuration
Equipment and configuration
Match the installed equipment to the serial-specific build record and the measurement basis shown above.
Configuration details to confirm
- Smooth or padfoot surface
- Shell kit
- Vibration system
- Remote control
A model specification does not establish compatibility with a particular attachment or option.
