Different roles in the process

A cone and an impact crusher are not direct substitutes selected by transport size. Obtain representative feed grading, material properties and the required product specification, then have the manufacturer validate the proposed circuit. Feed opening alone does not establish acceptable feed or guaranteed throughput.

Normalize downstream equipment

The MCO reference includes a single-deck post-screen in its transport length; the MR basic-plant length excludes optional post-screen equipment. Compare complete plant arrangements with their return conveyors and discharge paths, rather than ranking those two lengths as equivalent packages.

Cost the wear and product result

Ask for wear-part recommendations and a material trial or supported application estimate. Inspect the cone chamber or impact rotor/liners, conveyors, screening package and service records. Compare the accepted product and total circuit cost with explicit assumptions; no model-wide wear-life or production promise is assigned.

  • Does each proposed package include its screen and return conveyors?
  • What manufacturer-supported wear and application evidence is available?
