Compare loader matching, haul-road access and the loaded cycle before choosing the larger truck.
Start with the loader’s usable bucket payload and the material density, then work out a loading plan using the truck’s rated payload and actual body. A larger nominal truck can require more loader passes or create waiting time. Do not calculate a pass count from heaped volume alone.
Use the configured width, turning space and grade capability from the actual truck documentation. Inspect the narrowest passing point, dump approach and ground conditions under load. The 735 reference follows its stated tire and body arrangement; optional tailgates or tires must be checked before applying its dimensions.
Obtain tire condition, suspension and articulation measurements, brake records and body-repair estimates for both examples. Compare expected loading, travel, unloading and waiting time with explicit assumptions. Horsepower and payload are useful inputs, but neither establishes a lower cost per moved unit without a realistic cycle.
Generation/configuration-aware: measurement basis and reference configuration travel with each value. A difference in basis is not treated as a performance difference.
